A beer made to show the potential of simple modifications available to brewers who want to customize their beer kits.
Beer Styles: Ales
Cream Ale
Brewed on a Triple Brew Weekend, we picked up this kit from our LHBS, Anyuway Hydroponics. This is Beer #2 of our brewing marathon leading up to the Beer Sessions.
Breakfast Stout
We developed a custom extract recipe to highlight the versatility of available extract products. This was developed for BS#2: Basic Brewing.
Blood Orange Porter #1
American style porter with sweet orange peel and blood orange extract.
Blood Bag Pale Ale #1
An alternative sugar source beer styled as a pale ale. We used peeled and chopped beet root in the mash in conjunction with 3 pounds of 6 row pale ale. Thanks to Rios Family Farm in Little Flock for providing the beets for this experiment!
Wee Baby Ginge
A spicy Irish Red to celebrate the arrival of our little Fox.
Pink Pepperberry Saison
A so-called “super” Saison due to the higher alcohol content, this is the complimentary brew to the Pink Pepperberry Porter. Where the extra sugar came from, I have no clue.
Pink Pepperberry Porter
This is a beer we brewed as a themed double-batch day. The ingredient we chose to play with was Pink Pepperberries (a.k.a. Pink Peppercorn.) The other beer we brewed was AJ’s Pink Pepperberry Saison.
Green Tea Pale Ale
A dank pale ale with a heavy green tea bite.
Iron Brewer IPA
An American IPA for the Q2 Iron Brew competition.
